Pinnora Brewing prides itself on close association with breweries and brewing along the east coast of America, so our passion is in creating hop-forward hazy pale ales. So when the MCBS members voted emphatically for an imperial stout to headline the Summer Session, our hearts sank, just a little bit, then we got to work! Having never produced a stout previously; we decided we wanted to make a boozy stout oozing chocolate and coffee, but with a residual sweetness – without the use of lactose to ensure it remained vegan friendly.
We hope it meets #TeamRoCo’s expectations, but if we’re honest we’re definitely looking to further improve our stout game in future. Cheers!
But why the name?
For us this was an absolute no-brainer. The MCBS was born through a love of craft beer during Lockdown in 2020 – a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The founding members would often meet online to chat and share their beer choices (and opinions), before toasting absent brethren every night at 9pm. We also felt the name (and subsequent label art) paid perfect tribute to the Stout style with its dark toasted malts and smoky notes.
